Why We Insist on a 3-Day Wedding Package for Niagara Wedding

It seems strange right? Why wouldn't a business owner do everything to maximize the short window of the year where venues can have weddings Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays? The more you book, the more abundant your business can be, and reach a wider audience. Why do we offer couples a full rental from Friday to Sunday for a Niagara wedding?
Well after running a Canadian distribution company in the wellness industry, dealing with manufacturing, importing, shipping logistics, training, and most of all- sales, I began to see more value in the type of entrepreneurship that was aligned with my lifestyle and my values. Instead of trying to be "bigger and bigger, reach wider and wider" I wanted to zoom in like a microscope and build a business within my life's desires.

Enter Fairview 1855. After casually perusing real estate websites which I often do out of curiosity, I changed my search parameters to include 10+ acres. I wondered if our small town still had many farms left for sale. Suddenly, at the top of the list was an image of a Victorian brick house, with 35 acres. I immediately flipped through the carousel of images, each flip another gasp of breath. Could this be real? That in our humble town, something so beautiful was available? Without knowing why, both my husband and I reached our to our realtor to set up a viewing.
I was knee deep in my other two businesses, serving as the Canadian distributor of the Harmonic Egg sound and light wellness device, and running my own wellness center in Niagara-on-the-Lake. I had no real direction then, other than to continue on the path I was on. Then, the idea struck-- instead of being at the mercy of a landlord, instead of driving 30 minutes to my center everyday, what if I created the 2.0 version of my space, where integration of the healing could go deeper, where nature played a role in the experience, and where groups of people could stay and unwind. I began to see it all, and began to believe in the reason I found Fairview 1855 in the first place.
The wedding business is not something I ever thought I would be flowing into to be honest. My husband and I had had numerous disappointing experiences at weddings, leaving hungry, lack of connection, and just a feeling of being rushed to be somewhere, only to rush to a second location for the banquet. It just felt obligatory and a shame really because we loved the couples getting married, we just wished the experience allowed for more of a memory rather than a logistical minefield.
So when we found the Fairview, it was undeniable that we had to offer weddings, the space is too majestic not too! We were soon informed that several locals had been married there, or had their photos taken there, as they had always drove by dreaming that they could. So, I thought about that same lifestyle/work balance, and I decided that if it was me, I would want an experience that would not only cater to the couple, but make every guest feel like it was a reunion that they could truly enjoy. I also had no interest in high turnaround, I wanted each couple to feel like the venue really cared about who they were as a couple, and that the Fairview 1855 was going to be a huge part of their love story.
So the 3-day wedding package was born. Access to the venue on Friday allows for early setup, rehearsal dinner on site, accommodations for up to 10, ceremony and reception on site, and a blissful Sunday to bask in the post-wedded glow, and have a low-key teardown. Your guests can enjoy walking trails, the pond, the enchanting gardens, or head 5 minutes away for restaurants, beaches, shops and tourism attractions.
